Stokes was created and existed as a dream for Harold Stokes 4 generations ago. His son Eldon furthered his dream in the 1960's when he bought a small store in Burley Idaho and the first Stokes Market was born. Eldon's son John joined his father in 1973 when he moved to Burley to extend the family dream. Together John and Eldon opened new locations including Preston Idaho. Today that dream is still being realized by John and Steve Stokes. They own the Burley store and have opened the store in Aberdeen and Salem Utah. They still maintain the generational goals to provide an exceptional shopping experience for our guests. In a world where our competitors are the largest corporations on earth.
